The Road To Aintry: The Tallulah Gorge
This has been a great week of whitewater. The beginning of the week was loaded with tests and other schoolwork, so after all the hard stuff was over, Don and I ran the Green River Narrows on Thursday morning at a nice juicy level of 10 inches (which was the highest I had ever seen it). Then on Friday, I played a relaxing game of disc golf before loading up for the Road To Ain'try.
Don, Bo, and I drove from Columbia up to the Chattooga River, and found it to be at a burly level of 2.2 feet, so we decided to skip section 4 and head for the Tallulah Gorge. On Saturday morning, after a frigid night of sleeping outside under the stars, we paddled the Tallulah twice.
On our second run, bombed down the gorge in less than 15 minutes, which turned out to be a looooot of fun.
We came back to Columbia on Saturday night and then on Sunday, Matt Porter and I had a nice relaxing run down the Green (still at 10 inches). I'd say it was a pretty good weekend. Here are the Tallulah photos:

Spring Park-n-Huck: Whiteoak Creek, Dupont, Blind Date
Here are a couple pictures from a few park-n-hucks I did with the crew last month. I'll throw some North Fork of the French Broad pictures in as well.
